Why is it called so?

How it all started
2002: an idea to hitchhike as a new way to raise money for Sheffield RAG at no cost;
2002/03: successful Bummit trip to Bognor Regis (West Sussex, UK)
2003: Bummit established;
2003/04: Bummit trip to Budapest (Hungary) via Stuttgart;
2004/05: Bummit trip to Bucharest (Romania) via Plzeň
