A nomad (Greek: nomades; meaning one roaming about for pasture, pastoral tribe) is a member of a community of people who live in different locations, moving from one place to another.

This film was based on Ilyas Esenberlin's "Nomads" book. Mansur, Eraly and Gaukhar are in the bases. The historical basis of this film is the autobiography of Abylay khan. Mansur plays the role of Abylay khan. His main goal is to unite the separated Kazakh people and dodge Jungars from the Kazakh land.

Mansur′s and Eraly′s dreams were the same. Both of them learned military art from their teacher. Mansur won the battle of Jungar's Sharysh at the age of 18. After his victory, his name was named Abylai in honor of his grandfather.

The Khan of the Zhungars told Abylai that he would be freed from captivity if he had gone through three trials. In the final test, Abylai and Yeraly fought with each other and in the fight Abylay won. This episode is the most emotional scene of the film. Gaukhar was taken away and escaped from Zhungars. Abylai united the Kazakh people and defeated the Zhungars.

Awards and nominations
In addition to being Kazakhstan's entry in the race for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, Carlo Siliotto received a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Original Score.

Conclusion
This movie is the first historical film in the history of the Kazakh cinema industry. By watching this movie, we first get to know patriotic feelings. Secondly, we learn the traditions and customs of nomadic Kazakhs. In this cinema love and patriotism are in perfect harmony.For us it is one of the best films in ourcountry.
