«Eternal flame»
The memorial complex "Eternal flame" is dedicated to Tambov soldiers who fell on the fronts of the great Patriotic war. The memorial was opened in may 1970, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the victory over fascism. The eternal flame was lit on October square on the eve of Victory Day. The Eternal flame is annually held meetings of conscripts going to serve in the Russian Army, take an oath of cadets and soldiers in military schools.

Мonument to Lenin
In 1967 in our city there were some big, memorable events. One of these events was the opening of a new monument to Lenin.

The Chicherin house Museum
In 1987, in Tambov, the opening of the House-Museum of Georgy Chicherin-a brilliant diplomat and an outstanding statesman. Many people took part in the work on the creation of the Museum, the restoration of the memorial house was carried out, the adjacent territory was arranged, an extensive Museum exposition was collected.

Tambov regional Museum of local lore
Tambov regional Museum of local lore (TOKM) is one of the oldest museums in Russia. It was founded in 1879 to the 100th anniversary of the Tambov Viceroyalty.

Tambov regional Philharmonic society
Tambov regional Philharmonic was formed in June 1938 by combining a Symphony orchestra, chorus and concert-variety group. By the autumn of that year, there was a choir, instrumental and vocal ensembles.

Tambov state drama theatre
One of the oldest Russian theatres, the Tambov drama theatre, owes its origin to the Governor-General of Tambov and Ryazan I. V. Gudovich. On June 28, 1786, he came to inspect Tambov. Gavriil Romanovich Derzhavin, who was at that time the head of the Tambov Viceroyalty, staged a theatrical performance in his honor in his house, to which he wrote the text. This performance was the first performance in the history of the city, and this date is considered the birthday of the Tambov theater.
