FUTURE IN THE PAST
How do you say Я буду жить в большом доме.
I will live in a big house.
How do you say Боб думал, что будет жить в большом доме.
Получается нелогично (а ведь мы знаем, что английский язык очень логичный):
первая часть относится к прошедшему времени,
а вторая часть к будущему
Как же нам решить эту проблему?
Для этого в английском языке существует Future in the Past.
Первая часть предложения остается в прошедшем времени, а вторую мы меняем.

FUTURE IN THE PAST
We use it when we want to refer to something that was in the future
at some time in the past.
Используем, когда говорим о действии, которое являлось будущим для определенного момента в прошлом.

NB: a) use “the next day” instead of "tomorrow".
b) change "next" to "the next": next week – the next week
