Australian nocturnal

The word nocturnal means to be active at night.
What Does Nocturnal Mean?
There are many animals in Australia that are nocturnal. This means they sleep during the day and move around at night.

Possums, including the Brushtail and Ringtail Possums, are active at night.

In the day, possums will sleep in tree trunks, hollow logs or even the roofs of houses. Once night comes, possums will feed on their favourite plants.
