Mikhail Timofeevich Kalashnikov 1919-2013

Before AK-47
M.T Kalashnikov was world-famous for developing the AK-47 assault rifle. He was born in 1919 in Altai Krai, Russia. After seventh grade he started be interested in weapons. In 1938 he was accepted to Soviet Army. In 1939 Kalashnikov made first rifles and was awarded by Zhukov. In 1999 he was promoted to a General Lethuinant rank

AK-47 developing
In 1946 Kalashnikov got a task to develop a 7.62 mm assault rifle. In 1947 the project is done – was created a first working AK-47. In 1947 AK-47 won a rifle competition and Soviet army took AK-47 on armory.

AK-47 success
AK47 is a most popular assault rifle in all world. Armies of all countries love AK-47 because its simple, powerful, cheap, high-accuracy rifle. Only in 2009 manufacted a 20 million copies of AK-47.
