Сотканы солнцем эти края,
Реки питали зелёные поля,
Небо синело средь белых облаков,
Двое влюблённых во власти сладких снов...
Мы - эти двое в бескрайних полях.
Реки иссохли, реки ушли,
Травы пожухли, дотла испепелены,
Ветер холодный сердца разъединил,
Ветер холодный мне душу застудил...
Где те долины ушедшей любви?...
Мне не узнать, что сделалось с тобой,
Что сияние солнца сменило сизой мглой,
Лишь знаю я: пустым стал белый свет,
Не на что глядеть мне, ничего в нём нет...
Но я всё надеюсь, жду: ты придёшь.
Я всё надеюсь: тепло ты сбережёшь.
Счастья не будет, покуда мы - в пути,
Счастья не будет, пока нам не войти
В дом, что стоит средь зелёных полей.
