A tour of my hometown

KAZAN
My native town is Kazan. It is the capital of Tatarstan. It is situated on the picturesque banks of the Volga River.
Kazan is a political, cultural, historic and economic centre. There are 14 institutes and the University in Kazan.
Kazan is a cultural centre. There are a lot of museums in my town. My favorite museum is the Museum of Fine Arts.

Kremlin, Saint Peter and Paul churche and tother.

We are proud of many famous people who lived and worked in Kazan.
The names of Lobachevsky, Butlerov, Tukai, Saidashev are known all over the world.

There are a lot of theatres in Kazan. Opera and Ballet Theatre, Tatar Academic Theatre and other.

Besides Kazan is a big industrial and economic centre. There are many plants and factories.
Kazan is a large transport centre: there is a river port, a railway station and an airport.
