Mark the statements with 1(agree), 2(depends), 3(disagree). Ex:1, p139.
Listen again complete the sentences. Ex:3,p140.

Grammar.
Necessity.
Didn’t need to / needn’t have done.
Rule:
When we use needn’t have done, it means that someone did something but in fact it wasn’t necessary.
When we use didn’t need to do, it often means that someone didn’t do something because it wasn’t necessary.
Read the rule attentively and do Ex:2,p140 (matching).
