KAZAN IN MINIATURE
They have rigorous historically accurate models of Kazan in 16th
and 18th centuries. You can see the up-to-date Kazan on a detailed architectural model; it has almost every building of Kazan’s historical center.
The total area of the models is more than three hundred square meters while the height of the Suiumbike tower, which is one of the city’s landmarks, is just several centimeters.
Слайд 43D MAPPING
The latest technologies of 3D video projections bring Kazan’s most important
historical events to life.
AUDIO GUIDE
Every visitor can pick up an audio guide with the single-use headphones at the check-room. This portable assistant determines your location at the complex and provides you with information on each exhibition piece. That should make your visit not only educational but quite entertaining.
Слайд 5AUGMENTED REALITY
Would you like to shake hands with the tzar (Russian for
‘king’) Peter the First or make a selfie with a Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai and other historical characters? Nothing is impossible with the augmented reality technology. Special sensors determine the positions of the viewers while the processor allows them to interact with the virtual characters of the distant past on an interactive wall.
A memento photo can become a nice surprise for any participant of the augmented reality. You can send your picture with the historical characters to your email or post them on social media on the tablets attached to the interactive wall.
Слайд 6IN THE STREETS OF PAST LABYRINTH
Our visitors will be surrounded by the
images of city streets carefully created by the scientists and artists from the historic documents and also by the original Kazan household items when they enter the room dedicated to Old-Tatar Sloboda, the unique historic part of Kazan.
Слайд 7THE BIRD’S EYE VIEW
One of the most unusual exhibits in City Panorama
is above 2.5 m height video wall that shows the bird’s eye view of Kazan. Our guests can feel like flying above the city by using a 3D gamepad and choosing the direction with a set of dots on the map. To create that interactive piece we used a special flying machine that made more than 250 high resolution circle panoramas of the city.
Слайд 8Interesting at any age.
For our small but energetic guests they have a
special children zone; it’s a huge room where they can not only have a lot of fun but also learn some new thing.
There’s another game on a huge screen, the game that is based on an old legend about the creation of Kazan. The brave batir (a warrior in Tatar) fights the snakes and defeating them goes to battle with the dragon Zilant. However all the fights in the game are quite amicable so they suit even our smallest guests.
The older kids can play an exciting quiz on the history of Kazan from its first days to its present.
Слайд 9CAFE TRAM
You will love our cafe. It’s designed to resemble a city
tram riding along the streets of Kazan in 19-20th centuries. It will drive you around the first 5 tram routes opened in 1899 in just a couple of minutes. The time you’ll spend over a cup of tea or coffee with a pastry picked of a vast choice of ethnic cuisine is going to be both enjoyable and educational.
