Слайд 2Calendar Poetry
Thirty days has September
April, June and November:
All the rest have thirty-one.
Except
February alone.
And that has twenty-eight days clear
And twenty-nine in each leap year.
Слайд 3January brings the snow,
Makes our feet and fingers glow.
Слайд 4February brings the rain,
Thaws the frozen lake again.
Слайд 5March brings breezes, loud and shrill,
To stir the dancing daffodil.
Слайд 6April brings the primrose sweet,
Scatters daisies at our feet.
Слайд 7May brings flocks of pretty lambs,
Skipping by their fleecy dam.
Слайд 8June brings tulips, lilies, roses,
Fills the children’s hands with posies.
Слайд 9Hot July brings cooling showers,
Apricots and gillyflowers.
Слайд 10August brings the sheaves of corn,
Then the harvest home is borne.
Слайд 11Warm September brings the fruit;
Sportsmen then began to shoot.
Слайд 12Fresh October brings the pheasant;
Then to gather nuts is pleasant.
Слайд 13Dull November brings the blast;
Then the leaves are whirling fast.
Слайд 14Chill December brings the sleet,
Blazing fire, and Christmas treat.
