Fresh off the Boat is an American sitcom.
The story is based on the memoir of Eddie Huang. The story’s setting is in the 1990s and it is about the life of Eddie and his family when they moved to Orlando from DC’s Chinatown.
Eddie is 11 years old at this time and loves hip hop.
Eddie and his immigrant family experience culture shock in this comedy about following the American Dream.

Lesson 1 – Video Summary
Eddie Huang, his mom and his two brothers are in a department store.
They are shopping for some clothes.
The first scene shows Eddie trying on some hip hop clothes and accessories at a clothing shop.
He goes out of the dressing room and shows it to his mom.
His mom checks the price and says it’s too expensive.
