Во времени Past Simple выделяют правильные (regular) и неправильные (irregular) глаголы

Как у правильных, так и у неправильных выделяют три формы:

начальная форма глагола (как он в словаре)

вторая форма глагола (Past Simple)

третья форма глагола

У правильных глаголов (regular verbs) вторая (V2) и третья (V3) формы совпадают, т.е. образуются путём добавления к первой (V1) форме глагола окончания -ed

У неправильных глаголов (irregular verbs) вторую (V2) и третью (V3) формы учат наизусть или смотрят в таблице неправильных глаголов
