- 11. She visited the United States in 1916 and edited, with Bukharin, the Communist daily Novy Mir
- 12. Kollontai joined the people's commissariat for foreign affairs and became (1923) minister to Norway-the first woman
- 13. This included periods in Norway (1923-25), (1927-30)
