Uniform History
In 1918, after the revolution school uniform was cancelled because of associations with the higher classes. But in fact, government had no money to sew uniform for all children.
In 1948 wearing school uniform became obligatory. It was said that the uniform made children more tidy and showed the absence of the classes division.

2. Appearance
Students had to look in a particular way. Wearing school uniform wasn’t enough. They had to be tidy, wear only good ironed clothes, clean collars and cuffs. Their shoes also had to be clean in any weather. Hairstyles were minimalistic, dying hair was prohibited. Boys had only short hair. Girls often wore braids with black or brown bows. White bows were used during the significant events.

School uniform was accepted in 1948. At first, boys wore grey suits made of wool and caps. Then, in 1973 suis became deep blue. Children also wore red ties.
High school students also wore deep blue suits with a school mascot, but it became unaesthetic soon and they just cut it.

Girls’ appearance
While boys’ uniform was changing, girls’ one stayed the same. Girls wore brown dresses with detachable collar, black aprons for daily activities and white ones for some events. They also wore red ties.
A few years later the school uniform set was updated with blue skirts and jackets with patch pockets.
For some significant events girls wore white shirts, greyish-blue skirt and red ties.
