Разбираем сказуемое с конца!!!
За Continuous всегда отвечает окончание –ing у глагола, это длИтельность.

Глагол с –ing окончанием один не может гулять, иначе это другая часть речи. Он берет с собой подружку to be.
Формула для всех Continuous – to be+Ving
