The origins of the song

"Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It

The origins of the song "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let
Snow!", also known as simply "Let It Snow", is a song written by lyricist Sammy Cahn and composer Jule Styne in July 1945. It was written in Hollywood, California during a heat wave as Cahn and Styne imagined cooler weather.
Despite the lyrics making no mention of any holiday, the song has come to be regarded as a Christmas song worldwide due to its winter theme, being played on radio stations during the Christmas and holiday season and having often been covered by various artists on Christmas-themed albums. However, in the Southern Hemisphere, it can be played during the winter months of June, July, and August.

Lyrics Oh, the weather outside is frightful But the fire is so
we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Man it doesn't show signs of stoppin'
And I brought me some corn for poppin'
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Lyrics When we finally kiss good-night How I'll hate going out in
if you really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm
And the fire is slowly dying
And, my dear, we're still good-bye-ing
But as long as you'd love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, and snow

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
