British national parks

What is a national park?
The UK has 15 National Parks. These parks are not truly National Parks according to the internationally accepted standard of the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources)
National parks of the United Kingdom are a devolved matter with each of the countries of the United Kingdom having its own policies and arrangements.
A national park is a park, in use for conservation purposes.
