Independence Day of Russia

On June 12 our country celebrates the important national holiday – Russia Day, or Day of adoption of Declaration on state sovereignty of Russia, as it was called this festival until 2002. This is one of the "youngest" state holidays in the country.

This holiday appeared in Russia recently. It is celebrated throughout the country and has a state value, which gave him Boris Nikolaevich Yeltsin - the first President of the Russian Federation. The history of it, as already mentioned, began with the adoption of the Declaration on the sovereignty of Russia, which was signed in 1990, June 12, at the first meeting of people's deputies. Later this day began to call independence Day. The authorities of the Russian Federation declared sovereignty of the country to ensure that every citizen felt confident in their future and had the inviolable right to a worthy life, free development and use of language.

Due to the fact that June 12 was designated the official holiday, for many it became just the weekends, when with his whole family they can go somewhere and relax, work in the garden suburban area. Despite this, in many cities of Russia were lush celebrations, but any specific magnitude of this holiday in those days was not observed.
