around the country. Queen Elizabeth II in mourning attire takes place in front of the Cenotaph, a monument to the soldiers who fell in the First World War. From the first stroke of Big Ben Field gun will fire, signifying the beginning of a 2-minute silence. The second shot to break the silence and opens the ceremony of laying wreaths of red poppies, the traditional colors of memory. Queen lays a wreath at the first.
