activity of the Republic's leadership. At the moment, the Republic of Tatarstan is one of the sports leaders among the regions of the Russian Federation.
One of the most significant sporting events in the Republic of Tatarstan was the XXVII world summer Universiade 2013. 64 sports facilities were used for the 2013 Universiade, including 30 new construction projects.
The sports glory of Tatarstan is multiplied by the victories of such famous teams as AK bars, Rubin, UNICS, Zenit-Kazan, Sintez, KAMAZ-master, Dynamo-Kazan and more.

April — she still shoots periodically.
She won silver at the 2000 summer Olympics. She became world champion five times, took silver twice and bronze four times at the world Championships. The athlete also has six wins at the European Championships and a victory at the 2003 world Cup.
