Sofiyivka National Park

Sofiyivka National park is one of the most beautiful parks in the world.
It is situated in the town of Uman, Cherkasy region.
The park accounts for over 2000 types of trees, bushes and flowers.

There are a lot of beautiful ponds, lakes, waterfalls and rocks in the park.
Sofiyivka park was founded in 1796 by the Polish noble Count Stanisław Potocki.
He named the park after his wife Sofia.
Sofia received the park as a gift from her husband on her birthday.
The park is spread over an area of 150 hectares in the northern part of Uman.

When you enter the park, you can see a famous fountain in the form of snake.
People like to feed swans there.

You can see a miracle of garden art for example the green labyrinth.
The labyrinth is located in the northern part and it is named in honor of its creator, a well-known scientist-planter Pashkevich.
Right here we can see a large number of exotic plants and vivid flowers.
It was created in the form of a triangle.
Visitors like to lie on the lawns in this part of the park and arrange picnics.
