05/2018
1)College search time.
2)Find teachers for recommendation letters.
3) Get started on essays
4) If 0 exams taken, plan them out throughout the rest of the year, so by January 1st, the results will be already sent to colleges.
(You don't have to have all the results by the deadline of application, but it would be much more better if you did)
5) Register on CommonApp and start on your application, though not every university is in commonapp, for some unis you have to apply directly from their websites.

Practice for tests
SAT Khan Academy. U-world at least two hours a day and full test on weekends with review.
IELTS/TOEFL IBT. Long term preparation includes being sunken into english environment.
At least 2 weeks before the exam start doing practice tests.
