Cathedral Se de Olinda:
Is one of the main attractions of the city.

FIRST BUILDINGS:
The first building dedicated to the worship erected in the place of the present Cathedral was a simple chapel, built in the technique of the hand taipa.

CURRENT FACADE OF THE CATHEDRAL OF OLINDA, RECOVERED THROUGH A LARGE ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH PROJECT BEGUN IN 1967, WHICH RETAKES TRACES OF WHAT WAS POSSIBLY THE TEMPLE IN THE 16TH CENTURY.

THE SÉ CATHEDRAL OF OLINDA OR SÉ DE OLINDA IS A CATHOLIC TEMPLE LOCATED IN OLINDA, IN THE STATE OF PERNAMBUCO, IS THE ARCHDIOCESE OF OLINDA AND RECIFE.

DESIGN:
The facade is divided in three main blocks, with the body of the cathedral flanked by two equal bell towers. The towers, with raised pilasters at the corners, are of square section and show only two narrow rectangular openings overlapping to the level of the crown, which has round arch openings for the bells and a prismatic upper finish, with small pinnacles at the corners.

The body of the church has on the ground level three doors, the central one being larger and arched, and enclosed in a frontispiece with two pairs of Ionic columns. On the lateral doors, square windows that connect to the cornice that delimits the level of the pediment of Straight gable with inscribed glass, cross on top and side pinnacles.

MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART (MAC):
Located on the historical site of Olinda, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Pernambuco (MAC-PE) was inaugurated on December 23, 1966, with the donation of part of the Collection of Ambassador Assis Chateaubriand to the State. Today the museum has a collection of more than 4 thousand works of the most varied techniques, epochs and styles, ranging from French academicism to contemporaneity.

The MAC-PE is housed in a building listed by the National Historical and Artistic Heritage (IPHAN), because it was the former House of Chamber and Public Chain of the Municipality of Olinda. The building, dating from 1765, was designed to be the Aljube of the Diocese, being during all the period of the Inquisition the only ecclesiastical prison that has been in the history of Brazil.

In it, an ecclesiastical jail was used for the collection of persons accused of crimes against the Roman Catholic religion. In this building, the museum's headquarters now houses works belonging to the MAC-PE collection, composed of fifteen collections. In addition to its headquarters, the Admiralty Chapel of St. Peter, the Assis Chateaubriand Square (both in front of its headquarters), the Technical Reserve House and the Tereza Costa Rêgo Art Gallery are part of its Cultural Complex. The latter is destined for temporary exhibitions of Pernambucan artists, national and international.

MIRABILANDIA :
Mirabilandia is the only fixed amusement park in the Northeast. It's located between Recife and Olinda. Its area is 57,000 m². Mirabilandia operates three traveling parks in Brazil, called Universal park, Golden park and American park.

Mirabilandia is an amusement park located in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco. Opened in 2002, today it's one of the most successful amusement parks in Brazil. Resulting from a partnership between the peixoto group and an Italian group, the operation began with 15 rides and 1 coaster, but today features more than 30 attractions, and is the Brazilian park which made the largest investment by buying new attractions. The Mirabilandia of Pernambuco is the only fixed amusement park in the entire Northeast of Brazil. The park features 35 attractions in categories frightening, radical, and family.

In addition, the park has several themes such as "Fazendinha Mirabilandia", "The Gardens", and "Rio das Pedras" which has the objective of raising ecological and nature awareness. As of 2012, the park is being expanded due to high demand.

ATTRACTIONS :
The park has 35 attractions, not counting games and contests, which are paid separately.

As the Mirabilandia uses a rotation system of attractions with the other two traveling parks, Universal Park and Golden Park, rides vary from season to season (except the coasters) .
One of the great attractions of the park is the roller coaster Super Tornado Dutch company Vekoma which was bought at a fair value of the Luna Park when the rollercoaster was covered with rust, but the park has been reformed and is now in full operation.
