School in our Life
.
And it really gives us a chance to understand how to make friends with a lot of different people.
We are pupils of school № 1257.
It is a school with extended studies of foreign languages.
It not only educates us, but it brings us up, forms our character and teaches us to behave correctly in different situations.

Russian language and Literature
The lessons of the Russian language and Literature give us knowledge about the rules of grammar and spelling, about great Russian classical writers and poets whose names are widely-known all over the world and who made a great contribution to the development of Russian national and world culture. At our classes we learn “What Is to Be Done?” in the days of “War and Peace”.

At the lessons of Algebra and Geometry we are taught to do sums and to solve various kinds of problems using different special tables and schemes. We gain experience in developing our logical thinking.
In the course of these studies Pythagoras and Lobachevsky have almost become our relatives.
Algebra and Geometry

English is the language of international communication. At the English lessons we can improve our speaking skills.
We learn more about English speaking countries, their history and culture, obtain better language skills while reading English stories and writing reproductions and compositions.
English classes give us a chance to learn how Hamlet’s “To be or not to be…” continues.
English

Good knowledge of European languages will be of the greatest value for our future career and life. At these lessons we can gain a useful experience communicating with people in a foreign language. Thus we can learn a lot of interesting facts about their traditions, habits and customs.
Now we are sure not to mix up Manet and Monet and to yodel properly.
French and German

The lessons of Oriental Languages
open the world of Japan, Korea, China and Arabic - speaking countries to us.
Coming home we get a chance to surprise our parents with a new greeting: “Konnichiwa, Mom and Dad!”
ORIENTAL LANGUAGES

At the lessons of History and Social Science we acquire knowledge about the history of the humanity, we learn facts about the development of the society in the past and nowadays, about the levels of its development.
History and Social Science
Also we learn facts and details about great public figures who made a great contribution into the development of the society and who brought glory to their native countries.

Computer science is of great importance today. That's why special attention is paid to the studies of accumulating, keeping, transforming and
transference of information.
With the help of these classes we can write a useful programme or do our homework in a digital form no more making our handwriting tricky for the teacher.

At the lessons of economics we get a lot of information about principal laws of modern economics and about the most important notions of this science. It is time to start writing a business plan of our own!
Economics

Chemistry is really a thrilling science giving us lots of knowledge about the structure of different substances and their characteristics.
Besides we learn how to make soap and how to grow crystals!
Chemistry

At our school we have two lessons of Physics a week.
We gain useful experience at our lessons, discussing different problems with which we come in touch every day and which are based on physical laws and processes.
So if you want to find out why the apple fell down on Newton’s head, you’d better hurry up to join our classes.
PHYSICS

At the lessons of Geography we acquire knowledge about different distant regions of the world. We also learn facts and details about their geographical position and climate.
Due to these classes we know everything about the greenhouse effect and we are ready to fight the global warming.
Geography

Now we can calculate the colour of our cats’ kittens and discuss “The Origin of Species”.
At the lessons of Biology
we get information about different species of animals and plants which live and grow on different territories. We learn facts and details about rare and dying-out species of animals and plants which should be protected.
Biology

While having PE lessons we develop our skills in doing physical exercises, we are taught to compete in the proper way and to achieve good results.
Physical Education
Beyond any doubt, sport and PE make us develop a serious attitude to everything we do, help us to be attentive, curious and active at our lessons and in life.
At our lessons the Olympic motto “Faster, higher, stronger!” isn’t just words.

To tell the truth our school is not only studies and classes for us. It is also various contests, excursions, holiday parties, numerable sorts of extra class and out-of-school activities helping us to enlarge our knowledge. But it turns out to be just another story…
