Definitions
Project – an important and carefully planned piece of work that will create sth new or improve a situation
Project manager – a person or organization responsible for a particular piece of work that will create sth new or improve a situation
Team – a group of people who work together to do a particular job
Project management
- the discipline of planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to achieve specific goals
- a methodical approach to planning and guiding project processes from start to finish.

No firm is completely happy with how it handles project management. There are always problems:
there aren’t enough good project managers. This is due to the fact that project manager is a very difficult job
the higher education system doesn't turn out project managers. This is the big issue. Architects, engineers and planners are not being prepared for the role they play as project managers

PSLU tries to be a creative and innovative university and it’s not possible without the development of project work.

PSLU has well-developed infrastructure of innovation and design activities. In recent years, PSLU opened new units such as clusters of Education, Science and Innovation, Centre for intellectual property management, technology transfer and commercialization of scientific developments, Management of Innovation and Technology Entrepreneurship, Innovation Zone.

Since 2008, the university carries out its own complex innovative program "Profi-social LINGUA" covering more than 50 different innovation projects: administrative, educational, scientific, research and production, export-oriented, aimed at promoting the achievements of Russian higher education for abroad.
