Операционные риски несут самые большие убытки. Если у вас digital банк, то все завязано на системах. Здесь нужно желание решать проблемы, понять причину лагов и delays, много общаться с другими департаментами.
В кредитных рисках надо собрать как можно больше данных о клиенте, дать ему оценку, посмотреть на портфель кредитов, найти взаимосвязь. Здесь хватит базовой математики и регрессионного анализа.

Если ты пишешь сложный код, знаешь плюсы или си шарпы, то тебе надо быть разработчиком, риск-технологом. Это про собрать команду, построить ТЗ, что-то автоматизировать.
В риск-методологии нужно понимать теорию, уметь описать плюсы и минусы разных методов подсчета волатильности, справедливой стоимости. Это связано с бухгалтерией, с МСФО.
Риск-аналитик же своим мачете прорывает решения, двигая теорию в будущее. Он анализирует поведение клиентов, прогнозирует,
сэтапит очень быстро решения.

С bullet points и презентацией
Каждый человек занят своей карьерой, а не карьерой подчиненных. Если хотите прибавки - инициируйте контакт: «намерен автоматизировать то-то, за это, думаю, мне положено то-то..», с bullet points, с презентацией.
В целом, вас заметит руководство, если вы быстро проявляете интерес, сдаете задачи на день раньше, а не живете по дедлайнам.

Из аудита в риски –
возможный сценарий
В банках работа связана с анализом огромного количества данных. Макрос написать уметь – уже большой плюс, поэтому кандидаты с техническим бэкграундом имеют преимущество.
Но это необязательно так. Учёт, банковская теория – это тоже ключевой момент. Если у тебя была бухгалтерия, и ты начинаешь интересоваться рисками, то такой переход – возможный сценарий.

Нужно уметь четко объяснить, почему вы пошли или не пошли в магистратуру. В Master`s можно усилить знания. Но в целом, это не показатель. Ты берешь от вуза столько, сколько хочешь взять.
С тем же успехом можно при любом бэкграунде сдать CFA или FRM. Такой экзамен показывает, что ты заинтересовался, разобрался в теории и сможешь быстрее понять практику. Если идти в рыночные риски, то FRM, его первая часть, это, я бы сказал, must.
