The State History museum

It is a treasure-house of unique articles, ancient weapons, manuscripts, gold and silver things by Russians and West-European craftsmen. If you go there, you will get an unforgettable impression.
The Armoury

It is considered one of the most popular museums. It has a unique collection of masterpieces of Russian and Soviet art from the 11-th century to the present day.
The Tretyakov Gallery

The gallery's history starts in 1856 when the Moscow merchant Pavel Mikhailovich Tretyakov began collecting the works by Russian artists with the aim of creating a collection, which might later grow into a museum of national art.
In 1892, Tretyakov presented his famous collection of approximately 2,000 works (1,362 paintings, 526 drawings, and 9 sculptures) to the Russians.

The Timiryazev Biology Museum
The State Biology Museum named after K. A. Timiryazev was founded in 1922.
Since 1934 Museum is located in the centre of Moscow. It works in P. I. Shchukin estate - monument of history and architecture . The museum is unique in its collection which is shown in 17 exhibit halls.
This include plants, animals and human physiology and so on.

The Museum Collection consists of more than 80.000 objects

Tsaritsyno estate is located in the southern part of Moscow, in the park of the same name. Its history begins from 16th century.
Catherine bought the estate in 1775 and entrusted the greatest Russian architect Vasily Bazhenov (later Matvey Kazakov) with the task of building a country residence.
Unfortunately, after Catherine’s death the palace remained unfinished.
In the 1960s the park’s territory became a district of Moscow and gained the status of a protected historic zone.
