Magic Beauty of Scotland landscape

The Lake District National Park covers the area of north-west England known as the Lake District. The National Park was formed in 1951 to protect the landscape from industry or commerce could cause. Almost all of the land in the Park is in private ownership. In common with all other National Parks in England, there is no restriction on entry to or movement within the park.

The Pennines , in the north, are a large chain of limestone hills with moorland tops rising to between 600 and 900 metres. The chain runs from Scotland to halfway down the length of England, splitting northern England into northwest and northeast sectors.

Agricultural landscape at the Lake District National Park

The typical mountain landscape in the Grampian Mountains, or Grampians (Northern Scottish Highlands) in the high altitude zone (700-1000 meters above sea level).
