MOST IMPORTANT WOMAN IN 20TH CENTURY.
Emmeline Pankhurst (July 1858 – 14 June 1928) was an English political activist and leader of the British suffragette movement, which helped women win the right to vote. In 1999, Time named Pankhurst as one of the 100 Most Important People of the 20th Century, stating: "she shaped an idea of women for our time; she shook society into a new pattern from which there could be no going back".

FIRST FEMALE PILOT.
Harriet Quimby (May 1, 1875 – July 1, 1912) was an early American aviator and a movie screenwriter. In 1911 she was awarded a U.S. pilot's certificate by the Aero Club of America, becoming the first woman to gain a pilot's license in the United States. Less than a year later she became the first woman to fly across the English Channel. Although Quimby lived only to the age of thirty-seven, she had a major influence upon the role of women in aviation.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
International Women's Day , originally called International Working Women’s Day is marked on the 8th of March every year.It is a major day of global celebration of women. Started as a Socialist political event, the holiday blended in the culture of many countries, primarily Eastern Europe, Russia, and the former Soviet bloc. In many regions, the day lost its political flavour, and became simply an occasion for men to express their love for women. The first IWD was observed on 19 March 1911 in Germany following a declaration by the Socialist Party of America.
