There are many tasks in a linguist’s workflow
For example:
Memorize a lot of new words
Increase language skills such as speaking, writing, pronunciation
Find and information about languages history
Relate language to social, cultural and historical contexts
Research different aspects of language
& Translate

My primary goals are to understand the nature of language in general; also to have perfect translation skills and know the language like a native speaker.

Here are my hardware and software that I need in my workflow:

The 1st component of my Hardware is a laptop. It’s model is ACER ROG Strix.
UPSIDES
This is a gaming laptop, so it is very powerful and supports all the apps that I need for my workflow
Design and build quality: As for the design itself, it’s ROG at its finest, meaning RGB as far as the eye can see. There is an RGB strip across the bottom panel, an RGB ROG logo on the back of the lid, and an RGB backlight for the keyboard, with either a 4-zone or a per-key backlight.
Input devices: The lid on the laptop opens easily with one hand, revealing a comfortable keyboard with a large palm rest area, well-sized keycaps, long key travel, and clicky feedback. Also there is a large touchpad, which offers a smooth surface.

Battery: This is where gaming laptops behave in a notorious manner. But the battery life of ROG laptops is amazing. On average, a I can expect more than 11 hours of battery life.
However, if I’m playing games continuously, the battery will last only for about 6 hours, but the fact is: 6 hours of battery life is still a dream for a laptop.

the laptop is quite large and heavy, so it is inconvenient to carry around, I can only use it at home.

Microsoft Windows 11
UPSIDES
A multi-window task pane will be a boost to the advantages of Windows 11 to users as they will be able to switch between window panes easily; also the multitasking feature of Windows 11 makes it easier for me to organize windows in different sizes.
I am able to interact with the screen through voice typing, touch screen, custom keyboard settings, and digital pen.

Microsoft Office Word
UPSIDES
Microsoft Word is a great tool as typing is faster than ever, It is easy to correct mistakes by just hitting the backspace or delete button, There are templates for any type of document and mail merge from a database so that you can easily send out the letters to multiple people at a time.
You can align the text whether at the center, right or left margins or justified takes just one click, spelling and grammatical mistakes are pointed out instantly, You can correct any mistakes which are made easily, The bullets and numbers are done automatically and there is always an option to ask for help.
The images and the figures can be attached and laid out easily, Copying the documents is fast and easy, Copies can easily be made which saves on printing and it is much easier to do, Microsoft Word can save multiple versions of documents and easily sort them so that you can go back to the previous versions of the same document
Microsoft Word is available practically everywhere, It comes standard on many PCs
Microsoft Word lets you create simple word processing documents like letters and reports, You can add color, You can use clip art, You can write in a variety of fonts and sizes, You can use tables, borders & bullet formatting, You can format the text & the general page layout so that you can make the page look more appealing or easier to read.
Microsoft Word can easily integrate with other Microsoft Office programs, If you have a spreadsheet that you created on Microsoft Excel, you can easily paste it into a Word document
DOWNSIDES
Microsoft Word requires a computer to edit or view the documents which may sometimes not be there, especially when on the go
Typing is impossible when there is a black-out or laptops run out of batteries
Some symbols aren’t easily accessible which makes typing in different languages that use a different alphabet is difficult
While sharing and collaborating on the documents within a small group, only one person can make corrections at any given time
