Attitude
Religious and civil authorities have repeatedly taken action against the mourners. The laws of the Twelve tables expressly forbiddened to scratch the cheeks and to wail at the burial. John Chrysostom considered the activities of the mourners and funeral musicians contrary to the Christian faith in the resurrection of the dead. Shariah is also have negative attitude to the career.

The main idea
The mourners are employed by the relatives of people who died, for them to cry at the funeral. Like actors, mourners should show their sadness and cry as noisy as possible. Then the relatives won’t be shy to cry too. Sometimes mourners are employed for dead people who didn’t have family.
