VVTs
Former name of VDNkH is the Exhibition of the Achievements of Domestic Industry. VDNkH was opened in the thirties.

It displayed the most characteristic artifacts of the socialist style. In 1991, the exhibition was renamed VVTs

Industrial exhibition are still held at this location but today VVTs displays the achievements of foreign countries. A great number of stores on its territory sell everything from one-kopeck items to Mercedes 600s

As in past, shining figures of farm girls surround the Fountain of Friendship of Nations. It was made by Z. Bazhenova, L. Bazhenova, A. Teneta, Z. Ryleyeva, I. Chaikov

Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics
The Cosmonautics Museum traces the history of Russian rocketry and space exploration from the 1920s to the present day. The museum is housed in the base of the impressive monument To the Conquerors of Space, an enormous silver rocket soaring into the sky on a 100-meter tall stream of glistening Titanium.

The museum was opened to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Gagarin's first flight into orbit. The museum charts the most important Russian and Soviet achievements in space exploration. You can see even Belka and Strelka, the dogs which had orbited the Earth before a man did it.
