2-Minute Mixer
Have you ever heard of speed dating （约会）?

Speed dating is an equal number of boys and girls go to a restaurant
Every girl must meet every boy
You talk for 5-10 minutes
At the end of the night you can choose which person you like
If that person also likes you, you get their phone number.

Speed small talk
Today we'll practice our small talk by talking to as many people in the class as possible
Speak in English not Chinese.
Good chance to speak for 20 minutes in English without having to listen to me!!

Instructions
Pair up, and chat for 2 minutes with each other about the topic at hand.
When 2 minutes are up, I’ll tell you.
Then everyone is to find a new partner and chat for the next 2 minutes.
Don't talk to the same person twice.
Mix well, not just your own table.
Try to speak in English for 16 minutes.
The goal is for you to practice speaking on different topics.
